We went to Utah... again!

This past weekend Henry and I went down to Utah for a little birthday celebration for my mom and Shelby. We got down there on Friday afternoon and I took shelby and her BFF Tyler to the Imagine Dragons concert. It was actually really good and super fun! We had horrible seats unbeknownst to us but thankfully had the good sense to move and ended up pretty close to the stage. It was so much fun!

On Saturday we woke up and headed to Tyler's grandparents farm with his family. They had piglets, miniature cows, a miniature horse, fish, chickens, a donkey, and sheep. It was such a blast! Henry rode on everything possible, (obviously!) and we got to pet all the animals.

We then went to Ben and Johns ultimate frisbee game and watched them for a bit which was great! then we had lunch.

My family stole Henry and went to the petco adoption day and he got to pet all the animals. Its a good thing I wasn't there because baby + kitten=sam buys all the animals. Not good. (You cant tell but thats a kitten that he is petting)

We then had a little birthday dinner for my mom which was so fun except Henry was in a bad mood which was surprisingly stressful. We got through it though and headed back to rexburg on Sunday.

Good times had by all!

What I know about my 8 month old

This boy gets sillier and sillier every day! He is so much sunshine and so much love! Right now hes going through a nasty cold/cough and yet he is still such a joy.

-He loves to clap his hands!

-Henry has started to roll and scoot like a mad man! He tires to crawl but its a little tough still. He will scoot backwards though and get himself stuck in a corner. then he cries! ha

-He is eating lots of different foods. We are still doing baby led weaning and its going really well. He like beets, corn, banana peppers, olives, cereal bars, chicken, steak, potatoes... basically everything!

-babababa and dadadada are his most favorite words. (heaven forbid he say mama!) He will call for his daddy all day long!

-he loves books. He loves to take them out of the bookshelf and eat them and loves when I read to him.

-when I try to wipe off his face or wipe his nose, it seems like I have started WWIII. Ridiculous. He hates it.

-He is sleeping pretty good now a days. He goes to sleep at 8 or 8:30 and wakes around 4 or 5 and then back to sleep until 9. I'm not complaining!

-He just started taking his first steps with us holding his hands and if he could, he would do it all day! He will walk up and down our hallway like crazy!

-The Cat is his most best friend.

-He is spectacularly fun and I cant imagine doing anything else except spending all my time with him!

The straw maze

Today we went to the straw maze for some fall time lovin! It was so fun! We stopped off on the side of the road to get some pictures with the fall leaves.

When we got there we got some hot cocoa and apple cider and scones. The air was crisp and it really felt like fall. It only took us 45 minutes to get through the whole thing which was perfect because Henry decided he didnt need to take a nap until 6:45... great. It was just the perfect day to celebrate fall and a very rare day when stephen didnt have work or a ton of homework! Win-win!
